How an engagement runs
Four stages, a fixed price agreed before the second one, and no surprises in between.
I. Discover
We map how your business actually operates rather than how an org chart says it does. What comes in, who decides what, where time disappears, and what breaks when a key person is away.
You receive: a written scope describing exactly what will be built, and a fixed price. Time: one to two weeks. From you: a couple of honest conversations and access to see how the work happens today.
II. Architect
Database schema, access rules, and page structure are designed before a line of interface code is written. This is the stage that separates software that lasts from software that gets rebuilt in two years.
You receive: the data model in plain language, the security rules, and the page map. Time: one week for most engagements. From you: corrections. You know your business better than any diagram does.
III. Build
Short cycles with working software you can click every week. Content and design are reviewed with you as they are made rather than revealed at the end, because a surprise at the end is how projects go wrong.
You receive: a working environment, weekly updates in plain language, and a preview link for every change. Time: three to five weeks for a site, longer for a system. From you: timely feedback and whatever content only you can provide.
IV. Run
Launch is the midpoint, not the finish. Accounts are handed over in your name, monitoring goes on, and the first three months of Stewardship are included with every system.
You receive: every account and credential, documentation, and a standing lane for changes. Time: ongoing. From you: tell us what is not working. That is the whole job.
Terms, plainly
How is it billed?
Fifty percent deposit to begin, remainder at launch. Fixed price agreed in Discover. No hourly meter.
What if scope changes?
It gets quoted and approved before it is built. Nothing is absorbed quietly, and nothing is billed as a surprise.
Who owns the result?
You do, entirely. Code, data, domains, and every account, created in your name.
Who will I be working with?
The founder, directly. Nothing is handed off or outsourced. Read more about the practice.
Start at stage one
Discovery is a conversation, not a commitment. You will know the price before anything is built.
